Monkey Legend
The Great Sage Equaling Heaven Sun Wukong caused havoc in the Heavenly Palace and named himself the Great Sage Equaling Heaven. He was then suppressed under the Five Fingers Mountain for 500 years. On the journey of Tang Monk to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures, Wukong protected the law and exorcised demons. He conquered demons and monsters along the way and finally achieved enlightenment and was named Fighting Buddha. Because of his intelligence, bravery, and courage to fight against authority, he was included in the Chinese zodiac, symbolizing freedom, wisdom, and rebellious spirit.
