Goat Legend
The Divine Sheep Steals the Grain In ancient times, there was a drought for three years, and the crops failed, and the people were starving. The Heavenly Palace stored tens of thousands of dan of grain in the granary, but it was strictly forbidden to give it to the human world privately. One night, a divine sheep with a white body and golden horns quietly sneaked into the Heavenly Palace, stole the fairy grain, and scattered it on the mountains and fields of the human world, turning it into thousands of hectares of wheat fields to save the people. The Jade Emperor was furious and wanted to punish him, but the people built a temple for the sheep to express their gratitude, and the incense continued to burn, which moved the Heavenly Palace, so they named the divine sheep “the spirit of a good harvest” and included it in the twelve zodiac signs. Sheep symbolize compassion, kindness, harvest and hope.
